Homage to John Abdouljaami

What follows are 35 snap shots of John Abdouljaami's sculpture "Return of the Raiders" which he cut from black walnut with an axe and a couple of other tools, which you can see resting on his chair at the end of this collection. John was my neighbor, a friend, and a fellow artist who passed away around 10 years ago in his hometown of Oakland, California, USA. His studio was the street in front of his home in West Oakland where he and his family lived for many years.
