Bulwinkle's Paw Prints These ceramic paw prints were created by the artist, Mark Bulwinkle. Each original image was first carved and molded in clay by Mr. Bulwinkle. Next, Mark pressed a small ball of moist, soft clay with the palm of his right hand into the small clay mold of the image held in his left hand. He then fired the resulting impression in a kiln to a very high temperature. The finished object Mark calls his paw print. Because of the nature of reduction firing, no two paw prints are ever identical in form or color. Each is unique and embossed "MB" on the reverse side. Mark Bulwinkle / 2012 / Oakland, California.
